Fire Damage Restoration – Student Accommodation, Birmingham City Centre

Following a kitchen fire in a student accommodation block in Birmingham city centre, we were called in to restore the heavily smoke-damaged kitchen and adjoining hallway. Although the fire was quickly contained by the sprinkler system, the room was left almost entirely blackened with soot and smoke staining over the original white surfaces.

Our team began with meticulous surface preparation, removing soot deposits and treating all affected areas. We then applied specialist stain-blocking coatings designed to seal in fire damage and prevent any bleed-through.

Once fully prepped, we repainted the walls and ceilings using a durable white matt emulsion, restoring the space to its original brightness. For the woodwork, we used a traditional oil-based white satin finish to deliver a classic, clean look. The result is a fully refreshed and professionally restored space, brought back to life with care and precision.
